Staff Reporter :The Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) will take step
to implement the tobacco control law aiming to reduce the tobacco use.
Administrator of the DSCC Shawkat Mostafa said this at a seminar
recently. Chief health officer of the DSCC Brig Gen Md Mahbubur Rahman
presided over the function. Work for a Better Bangladesh (WBB) Trust and
DSCC jointly arranged the seminar at the Nagar Bhaban marking the
'World Health Day'. DSCC's chief executive officer Md Ansar Ali Khan,
coordinator of the National Tobacco Control Cell Amin Ul Ahsan and
Advocate Syed Mahbubul Alam of WBB Trust addressed the programme, among
others. Before the seminar, a colourful rally was brought out from in
front of the Nagar Bhaban. Members of different anti-tobacco
organisations and students from different educational institutions also
joined the rally.
